Gareth Mason’s intimacy with fire affords him an acute perspective on that primordial power. Using original metalworking techniques, George Sawyer works precious metals into jewelry with painting-like patterned surfaces. His complex patterns range from impressionistic images resembling dancers, animals or calligraphy to symmetries seen in plants and animals, swirling water or wood grain.
